Steps to Program Lexus Garage Door Opener

Before you learn how to program Lexus garage, be sure your vehicle is parked either within your garage or close by to effectively connect to the Homelink® system. Just as a reminder for Long Beach drivers, be sure to have a normal garage door remote to set this up correctly. Here are the steps on how to program Lexus garage door opener:

1. Locate the three Homelink® buttons in the front of the car. Typically they’re located on the overhead console or rearview mirror.
2. Press and hold down buttons #1 and #3 simultaneously until the Homelink® indicator light above the buttons turns green and begins to flash.
3. Point your normal garage door remote close to the Homelink® buttons.
4. Press and hold Homelink® button #1 and garage door opener simultaneously until the light turns green and starts to flash.
5. In your garage door control box, find the button that says “Learn Button” It’s typically a black or red square button.
6. Press the Learn Button once then within 30 seconds go back to your vehicle and press Homelink® button #1.
7. If the garage door operates while using the Homelink® button, then you’re successful. If the garage door does not open using the Homelink® system, then complete steps one through six again until the system connects.
8. Be sure to use this same process for any additional gates or garages.
